KN DESK; 26, July 2013: In a statement issued to Global News Service, Hurriyat Chairman while severely criticizing the valley wide crackdown on youth by Police since Gool incident aftermath said the Police have been at war with its own people.

“J&K Police has unleashed a reign of terror in the whole state by starting arrest spree. They are ransacking the houses of the youth and students and if they are not present at home they demand money from their parents,” he said.

Geelani said if such policy of repression and manhandling is not stopped immediately, it will yield serious consequence on Police and they will be forced to get alienated from society.
