PULWAMA, Dec 26: The J&K State Pollution Control Board today directed for the closure of two cement factories in Khrew Pulwama. . . .
The on the spot orders were passed by the SPCB Regional Director, Kashmir, Ali Muhammad Dar, during an inspection when the units were found without adequate pollution control devices. The units are JK Cements and Ittefaq Cements and they were asked to immediately stop work in the factories.

The Regional Director also asked several stone crushers to install pollution control devices to minimize pollution.
