8 Seat reservation for Female passengers
SRINAGAR, March 01: Female commuters travelling in Srinagar city will have reservation of eight seats from today, a police official said Thursday.
Traffic police in association with the local police stations will be conducting checks in passenger vehicles to check the commuters follow the guidelines.
Haseeb-U-Rehman, Superintendent of Police (Traffic) said bus drivers and conductors are showing cooperation to make the drive a success.
The traffic police department said Civil Society Forum, NGO has helped in launch of the initiative.
Authorities said on International Day for Women special drive will be held in city to aware people about the new law.
