BUDGAM, Mar 02: In continuation to ongoing drive against defaulters for violating provisions of Weights and Measures and also to check illegal hoardings and overcharging of essential in district Budgam.

The Legal Metrology Department, Budgam on the instructions of District Magistrate, Mohammad Rafi in a surprise market check today in Chadoora and its adjacent areas register 8 cases against defaulters and recovered Rs. 13500 as fine from them.
During the checking one Roller Flour Mills, one Dispensing Pump, one Gas Dealer besides three shopkeepers were found violating the provisions.
