Dead body of a girl fished out after 11 days in Shopian
SHOPIAN; 28, Aug 2012: The girl namely Tawheeda Jan (18) D/O: Mohd Shafi Dar which was thrashed into famous waterfall Ahribal by her fiancée namely Iehtmad Hussain S/O: Mohd Yousuf Dar resident of the same village on 17th Aug 2012.
Today the dead-body of the deceased girl was fished out from the famous waterfall Ahribal after eleven days.
As soon as the news about the incident spread people rushed to the District Hospital Shopian and was waiting for the dead body there. Police intervened as pelted stones on people and chased them away and the doors of the hospital premises were closed. Police even not allowed the patients to enter into the hospital.
One person was hit by a stone that was thrown by Police and Indian Paramilitary forces.
Meanwhile protests also broke out in the native village of the deceased where people set fire to the house of her fiancee. According to people the couple was going for a marriage on 27th Aug 2012 i,e yesterday. but he (Iehtmad) was having affair with some other girl of Islamabad District.
Police earlier arrested Iehtmad Hussain and on investigation he disclosed that he thrushed her (tawheeda) into the waterfall after they was taking photographs near the waterfall.
