JK Bank ATMs dole out Rs 225 Crore in 6 days
SRINAGAR; 18, Aug 2012: Ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, automatic transactions through Jammu and Kashmir Bank have doled out at least Rs 225 crores in Jammu and Kashmir alone in the past six days beginning Monday. The bank ATMs dispensed Rs 166.74 crores in Kashmir and Rs 57.26 crore in Jammu.
A senior Bank official said that amount withdrawal recorded all over India through ATM transactions stands at Rs 235 crores in the past six days, including Rs 225 crores dispensed in the state.
On Saturday, the Bank ATMs disbursed an amount of Rs 41 crores throughout India and Rs 30.3 crores and Rs 10.4 crore in Kashmir and Jammu respectively.
On Friday, the bank’s ATM transactions stood at Rs 41 crore all over India with 1.16 lakh hits. In Kashmir Rs 30 crores were dispensed with 85,000 hits and Rs 10 crores with 26,000 transactions recorded in Jammu.
On Thursday, Rs 40. 04 crores were disbursed through its ATM booths throughout country with 1.13 lakh transactions. In Kashmir Rs 30 crores were dispensed with 75,000 transactions recorded while Rs 10 crore were disbursed in Jammu with 43, 300 hits on the day.
On Wednesday (August 15), only Rs 20 .40 crores were disbursed throughout the country in view of the holiday. “On that day Rs 11.23 crores were disbursed in Kashmir and Rs 7.90 crore in Jammu,” the Bank official revealed.
On Tuesday, an aggregate sum of Rs 47.88 crore were disbursed all over India. “Out of which Rs 32.14 crore in Kashmir with 98,000 transactions and Rs 13.24 crore in Jammu with 38, 320 hits,” the Bank official said.
On Monday, the bank ATMs disbursed over all Rs 44.5 crores all over India with 1.36 lakh transactions recorded out of which Rs 28.20 crores were dispensed in Kashmir only with 89 thousand transactions across summer capital and Rs 14.21 crore with 48,000 transactions in Jammu.
Throughout the day the Bank branches remained abuzz with account holders while the ATMs were swarmed with customers.
