People torched NC Sarpanch's house in Shopian

SHOPIAN; 29/08/2012: Protesters torched the house of a National Conference's SarPanch in south Kashmir's Shopian district after the body of his son's fiancée was fished out of a stream. Less than two weeks ahead of marriage, Iehtmad Dar, son of Mohammad Yusuf Dar, resident of Ayeind Rawalpora in the district allegedly pushed Tawheeda Jan to death on August 17 in Ahribal Waterfall.

Her body was fished out yesterday. As soon as her body was fished out protest began in the district and house and cowshed of the accused was torched.
On day of incident, Jan left her home after she received a phone call from Aitmad asking her to meet him at the tourist spot of Ahribal.
According to sources, Iehtnad was having an affair with some other girl of the Islamabad District.
Today morning after offering the funeral prayers of the deceased girl, protesters again started to demolish the remaining parts of the house belonging to Iehtmad Hussain.
All the house-hold items, one bike, cowshed were burned down. The family of the accused left their home two days before and have moved to some other place.
