SHOPIAN: 11, Sep 2012: A former Mujahid was sentenced to life imprisonment and another to five years in jail in a case of abduction and murder in Shopian. The District and Sessions judge in Shopian sentenced Isaaq Pala to life in jail under section 302 of the RPC, while his accomplice Tariq Ahmad Sheikh got 5 years’ rigorous imprisonment. On 11.09.2005, Isaaq Pala along with Tariq Ahmad Sheikh resident of Manihal barged into the house of Nazir Ahmad Kumar son of Abdul Gani resident of Manihal and kidnapped him and later on killed him. In this connection a case FIRNo 47/2005 under section 364, 302, 109RPC, 7/27 A. Act was registered in police Station Zainapora and challaned under section 512 CrPC on 30-12-2005.
 Later the accused were arrested by Shopian police on 10.04.2007in a case FIR No 48/2007 under section 120, 121A, 419, 420/RPC, 3/12 Indian passport Act
