Indian Muslim body demands Guru & Kasab be hanged

NEW DELHI; 02, Sep 2012: An organisation of Muslims in Indian mainland has demanded that the Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru be hanged without his mercy plea being heard by the President. A protest held on Saturday by All India Shia Sunni Front here at Jantar Mantar sought death sentence for Guru and Mumbai attack convict Ajmal Kasab immediately and a reward of Rs 51,000 for the hangmen.

Dr. Sadder Khan, who is acting president the organisation, said that the mercy petitions of both the convicts should 'not be entertained' and they must be hanged 'immediately'.

Mercy petition of the 2001 Parliament attack convict is pending with the President Pranab Mukherjee.

“I think Guru is not being hanged because of political pressure and other internal games. People like Guru and Kasab can’t hide their crime in the name of Islam. It’s totally wrong to hear their mercy petitions,” Khan said.

Effigy of Kasab was also burnt at the venue and slogans of “Pakistan Murdabaad” raised.

Maulana Hafiz Shakeel, general secretary of the front, said, “People like Guru and Kasab don’t belong to any religion. In fact terrorism has been declared sin from the Quran point of view. In Quran its clearly mentioned for blood there is blood, they have killed innocent people of Delhi and Mumbai, they have tried to attack the parliament house. Now they must be hanged."

He further said, “I salute the Hindu judges of High court who declared death sentence for Kasab, his death will be marked as the strongest example for all 'terrorist'.”

“We will award a sum of Rs 51,000 to the hang man of Kasab and Guru,” he said.

But there is no punishment to Indian terrorists who are killings hundreds of Kashmiris every day. And Indian organisations like these never raised their voice against the innocent killings in Kashmir.
