JAMMU; 12, Sep 2012: Jammu and Kashmir Police Wednesday promoted 311 constables to the rank of Selection Grade Constables (SGC) and made in situ promotion of 13 officers and officials in the state.

The Departmental Promotion Committee under the chairmanship of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Armed, Law and Order J&K, K Rajendra Kumar, approved the promotions, a police spokesman said here.

Such advancements act as a big morale booster for J&K Armed Police and it has been the endeavour of the promotion committee to fill-up all the available vacancies, he said.
