SRINAGAR; 11, Sep 2012: The traffic Sub-Inspector Mohan Lal who was beated yesterday by two Personal Security Officers of State Flood and Irrigation minister Taj Mohidin alleged at the time of incident the minister was in his car and was watching the whole incident like a mute spectator.

The Security Guards have been identified as Mohammad Shafi and Mohammad Abbas both belonging to Jammu and Kashmir Police Force. Both have been arrested on the charges of 'attempt to murder'


However Taj Mohidin denied that he witnessed his escorts beating up a traffic police officer on being stopped for jumping traffic signal near Tourist Reception Centre (TRC) in Srinagar.
Though he accepted that he was present at the spot but said he did not witness it and regretted the incident.
