SRINAGAR; 26, Sep 2012: Police have taken a cognizance of a Facebook status about scandal being unearthed in a Srinagar hotel.
 “Some individual Facebook pages have written on their walls that a scandal has been unearthed in a hotel at Srinagar,” a police spokesman said here adding that such updates are totally frivolous and baseless. “Legal action is being initiated against such pages.”
 Wednesday, afternoon the administrator of Facebook page “Kashmir Updates” had written “Breaking news....fresh scandal in Jehangir hotel, 12 girls involved in scandal arrested: police” is the status.
 The status has received around a dozen comments and most of the commentators have asked the administrator to explain the nature of the scandal. But the administrator has not replied to any comment.
 However, one of the commentators has said that Paramedical students were protesting to press for their demands and this is not a scandal. “Four paramedic students were arrested outside Jehangir hotel...just because they were protesting against the authorities demanding re-evaluation of their marks.....Is this a scandal?..,” writes one of the commentators.
However Later the Administrator deleted the Status, But We are having still a copy of one of his tweet which was shared from his Facebook Page.
