Gunfight breaks out in Central Kashmir
GANDERBAL; 01, Oct 2012: A fierce gunfight broke out between unidentified mujahideens and Indian forces in central Kashmir's Ganderbal district, early Monday
morning.
Sources said forces after receiving a tip off cordoned of a forest belt in Haldooru Wangath, 35 kms from district centre, in the wee hours. The joint party of Indian Army's 24, 5 Rashtriya Rifles and Special Operation Group of the JK police started a combing operation. Exchange of fire was going on till last reports.
Sources believe that about five mujahideens may have crossed from neighboring Bandipora district
