Caught Copying in Exam, Girl Ends Life in Rajouri
RAJOURI; 17, April 2013: A 20-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide after she was caught copying during examination in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
“A girl identified as Rozia Anjum, a student of BA Part-I yesterday consumed some poisonous substance at her residence when she was caught copying by the examiner at her centre in Degree College Thannamandi,” police sources here today said.
They said the girl narrated the matter to her family members and later made a bid to end her life. Police said she was rushed to a local hospital from where she was referred to the district hospital but she died.
“The parents of the deceased had brought the matter to the notice of the police while investigations are in progress,” police added.
