The accused wholesale dealer Ajaz Ahmed Lone son of Mohammad Sultan Lone was arrested after 17-year old girl showed signs of pregnancy. Police told and added that medical reports confirm the rape.

They said the victim in her statement to police alleged that the accused raped her when she was alone at her home.

“I am finished and want to end my life. This person has ruined the life of my poor daughter,” one of the relatives of the victim told.

Family members of the victim took her to doctors at sub-district hospital Hajin where doctors suggested an Ultra Sonography (USG). “We were shocked to know that the test showed minor girl had conceived for about three months. The doctors warned that any attempt to abort the unborn child would put the minor girl’s life at risk,” said her uncle Ghulam Ahmad and appealed police to prepare a strong case against the accused so that he is sentenced for life or hanged. “He has committed an inhuman act and deserves a stringent punishment,” he said.

Station House Officer, Hajin said: “We have arrested the accused. He confessed to have committed the crime, and an FIR under sections 376 has been registered against the accused.”
