SRINAGAR; 16, April 2013: Senior pro-freedom leader and Democratic Freedom Party President Shabir Ahmad Shah was on Tuesday released from detention after being kept in various Indian jails for more than two months.

A senior Police officer told that Shah was handed over to Sader police Station by Humana Police where from he was released in the evening. He was taken into custody by Police on Feb. 09 in wake of Shaheed Afzal Guru's execution.
