8th Class Student Hospitalized after beaten up by teacher
SRINAGAR; 15, May 2013: A lady teacher in a fit of rage beat an 8th class girl student to pulp at a government school in the outskirts of Srinagar on Wednesday.
According to reports, Jozia Sofi daughter of Mohammad Abbas Sofi resident of Motimohalla clan Dal is the student of Government High School Nishat. A lady teacher of the school crossed all limits of corporal punishment when she harshly beat her backbone continuously that the said student landed in SMHS Hospital.
“Jozia was laughing when the Madam Shameema was writing on black-board. Madam lost her cool and hit the back of Jozia continuously. Jozia fainted and was taken to hospital,” one of the students told.
According to doctors, the minor student has developed fracture in her back and shoulder.
The parents and relatives after providing treatment to the child lodged a written complaint to the school authorities while the authorities assured them of justice. A police official told that the matter resolved amicably and the parents did not approach police station.
