KULGAM; 08, May 2013: Kulgam police in a joint operation with 9 RR and 18 Bn CRPF arrested a LeT Over Ground Worker at village Owgam Laroo, Kulgam and recovered arms and an IED from his possession.

Police statement statement reads that "Kulgam police on a tip off launched a search operation in village Owgam Laroo, Kulgam. During the searches, an OGW of LeT group, Fayaz Ahmad lone alias Harris alias Hyder son of Gull Mohammad Lone resident of Owgam Kulgam was apprehended. On his instance police recovered a Chinese Pistol, one Magazine with six pistol rounds, an IED weighing about five Kgs from a field."

Meanwhile Kulgam police has registered a case in this regard.
