Teacher stages kidnapping drama in Pattan
BARAMULLA: 21, May 2013: On 20.05.2013, Police Station Pattan received a written report produced by one Rayees Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Samad Bhat resident of Gundaripora Pattan to the effect that on 19.05.2013 at 2200 hrs, his brother namely Zahoor Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Samad Bhat resident of Gundaripora Pattan (Govt. Teacher) who was on way from Gundaripora Pattan to his newly constructed house situated at Kanihama Tangmarg was kidnapped by some unknown persons with the intention to kill/cause harm him etc.
On receipt report case FIR No. 116/2013 under section 364 RPC was registered at Police Station Pattan and investigation taken up. During the course of investigation a Police Party proceeded towards the spot. The Mobile phone data of the abductee was perused. During further course of investigation one Mudasir Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Gani resident of Hajibal, Tangmarg a friend of the kidnapped person was also questioned who disclosed that the kidnapped person had meet him on 19.05.2013 at evening hours and borrowed Rs.2000/- and stated him that he has some dispute with his neighbors and had to go somewhere so that his neighbors are blamed for his missing just to pressurize them.
However on 21.05.2013 the Zahoor Ahmad Bhat (Kidnappee) was brought to Police Station Pattan. He was thoroughly questioned and he had no justification about being kidnapped. During investigation the facts/circumstances came to surface that the said person had staged this whole episode of being kidnapped by himself as he has some dispute of NREGA with a local contractor/neighbor Ali Mohammad Parray.
The complaint lodged regarding kidnapping of said teacher was found bogus and flimsy and just to harass his neighbours. The immediate investigation by Police Pattan has solved the staged kidnapping.
