We have no regrets” Family of slain ultra “He was wanted” Police

KN DESK: 23, May 2013; The family of Hilal Molvi Wednesday said that they have no regrets over the loss of Hilal Ahmed Molvi. “He has attained martyrdom and we are proud of him,” the uncle of slain ultra Ghulam Mohammad Rather told CNS. Hilal Ahemd Rather aka Hilal Molvi was killed in an encounter in Srinagar during wee hours with Security Personnel. He was 32 and had attained the degree of Mufti from Darool Uloom Devbandh. “PSA was slapped on Hilal in November 2010 and he spent 21 months in Kupwara and Udhampur jails. Police harassed him on the one pretext or the other when he was a free man,” he uncle said. He said police used to call himfrequently in police stations and finally he left home on 7th November 2012 and never returned back,” he said. A police official told CNS that Hilal Molvi was a dreaded Lashkar ultra who was wanted in different cases. “Six FIR’s vide no. 78/2012, 181,187, 189,190, 226/2010 under section 307, 436, 423, 323, 336, 7/25 Arms Act were lodged against him in Police Station Kreeri,” he said.
