KN DESK; 06, Aug 2013: Five Indian troopers were gunned down on Monday night near LoC (Line of Control) in Poonch District of Indian Occupied Kashmir. Earlier this week, Indian troopers killed One Pakistani Soldier.
The fresh incident occurred three days after Indian troops kidnapped 4 Kashmiri civilians from PoK territory.
The five slain troopers have been identified as Naik Prem Nath (35, Chappra Bihar), Lance Naik Shambhu Saran (29, Bhojpur), Sepoy Vijay Kumar Rai (27, Patna), Sepoy Ragunandan (23, Chhapra) and the 36-year-old Naik Pundalik Mane from Kolhapur in Maharastra
“It happened last night. There are fatal casualties on Indian side. One of our post was attacked in Poonch area,” said S.N. Acharya, a spokesperson for the Indian Army in Jammu area of Indian-administered-Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Tuesday strongly refuted allegations of the killing of five Indian troopers. The Indian allegation has been leveled at a time when Pakistan has suggested the dates for the composite dialogues with India.
