Curfew continues in Kishtwar on consecutive Sixth Day
KISHTWAR; 14, Aug 2013: Curfew continued in Kishtwar for the sixth consecutive day without any relaxation since the communal violence broke out on the day of Eid.
"No relaxation in the curfew was given in Kishtwar. The decision to relax the curfew is taken keeping in view the situation on the ground, which is being reviewed regularly. There are no reports of any untoward incidents in the past 24 hours," Kishtwar District Magistrate Baseer Khan told
Reports said people in Kishtwar town were facing massive shortage of essential supplies because of indefinite curfew.
Meanwhile Curfew was relaxed in other parts of Jammu region for several hours.
