Fire breaks out in Hotel Kashmir

SRINAGAR; 27, Aug 2013: A fire broke out in a hotel near the tourist hub of Dalgate here, damaging the top floor of the building.



No one was injured in the incident as the guests and the hotel staff were evacuated to safety as soon as the blaze broke out in the top storey of Hotel Kashmir in Kohna Khan area near Dalgate, fire officials said.

The blaze was put out by fire fighters. The cause of the fire is being ascertained, they said.

Meanwhile, in an another incident, fire broke out in the residential house of Gul Mohammad Najar son of Ali Mohammad resident of Nowgam Verinag, Islamabad (Anantnag), in the jurisdiction of police station Dooru, due to leakage of LPG Gas, resulting in partial damage to the house. However, no loss of life or injury was reported in this incident.

In an another incident, During the intervening night of 25/26.08.2013, fire broke out in the two Motor vehicle workshops located near Mirgund Chowk, Budgam in the jurisdiction of police station Budgam belonging to Tariq Ahmed Hajam son of Ali Mohammad resident of Narkara, Budgam and Tanveer Ahmed Dar son of Nazir Ahmed resident of Batamaloo, Srinagar, resulting in partial damage to the workshops. However, no loss of life or injury was reported in this incident. The cause of the fire is being ascertained.
