SRINAGAR; 28, Aug 2013: Hurriyat Conference while terming Indian media as platform for fanatic and intelligence agencies, said that reporting of these TV channels are biased and it is now confirmed that they are a blot for journalist fraternity.

Hurriyat spokesman Ayaz Akbar said, "Whenever these channels find an opportunity they do distort realities and facts and resort to malicious propaganda against freedom movement. They neither follow moral code or a standard." adding "We had stated its view point regarding proposed music concert,"

Ayaz Akbar said, "In an appeal we had asked German ambassador to review its proposed programme. Kashmir is a disputed territory and any move on political,diplomatic,cultural or other related activity would effect its status and India can take advantage of it and portray image not related to real facts "

Hurriyat alleged that in no way it seems to be a civilized and polite step to organize a music concert in Shalimar Bagh and when people do suffer at the hands of Indian forces and added till now people are mourning for Gool and Markundal incidents and waiting for mortal remains of Shaheed Mohammad Afzal Guroo.

Hurriyat spokesman said that Delhi-based newspapers and TV channels are biased in their reporting and in a bid to distort real situation, portray as if people of Jammu and Kashmir are intolerant and bigoted.

 Spokesman categorically said that Kashmir did not opposed German Ambassador or Zubin Mehta However, they do have a genuine grievances that no serious efforts are being made to understand and mitigate their pain and sufferings
