KN DESK; 20, Aug 2013: An anonymous pro-freedom group claiming to have stamped more than 30 crores of Indian currency with pro-freedom slogans including Go India Go Back, Quit Kashmir, We want Freedom and Kashmir Banega Pakistan.

A Facebook page has also been launched by the group and a video footage while displaying many Indian notes stamped with the slogans had also been uplaoded to the video sharing site Youtube.

Head Corporate Communications, J&K Bank, Sajad Bazaz said the matter is to be verified by police and action must be taken in this regard. “So far the currency is concerned the stamped notes can’t be termed as invalid”.

Various pro-freedom pages and accounts, in order to conceal their identity, are active on social networking sites without IP address.
