JKLF's Peace March; Geelani's Press Conference Fioled
SRINAGAR; 12, Aug 2013: Authorities have foiled the press conference of Huriyat (G) Chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani.
Geelani was scheduled to brief the press about the recent Kishtwar violence incident that left three persons dead and scores injured.
No media person was allowed to enter the residence of Huriyat chairman at Hyderpora.
Over two dozen activists of JKLF, along with its chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik, were taken into custody today as police foiled an attempt by them to hold a march here against recent cases of communal clashes in Kishtwar.
Malik was detained in the wee hours today following a raid at his house at Maisuma in the heart of the city.
Yesterday during a Press Conference, Malik announced to hold a peace march on Monday from Maisuma to Lal Chowk.
