Kashmir doctors protest Egypt violence
SRINAGAR; 20, Aug 2013: Scores of doctors, students and paramedical staff Tuesday held a protest at the government medical college Srinagar against the ongoing 'repression of peaceful pro democracy protesters' in Egypt.

Calling for an end to the military coup and a restoration to democracy, the doctors said that the whole Muslim world was united behind the people of Egypt. Expressing their horror at the massacre at Rabaa, students joined the international symbolic four fingers protest in solidarity with the victims.

Banners read: "People of Egypt, you are not alone". The doctors later spoke of the importance of holding such a protest, saying that the Muslim world was one and that Kashmiris, who themselves have been victims of such repression feel the pain of the people of rabaa and also have the responsibility to protest such aggression.
The students later marched within the campus chanting pro Egypt, pro Morsi and pro islamic slogans before dispersing peacefully.
