SRINAGAR; 11, August 2013: Government on Sunday placed the leader of the opposition and Peoples Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti under house arrest.

Talking to media, PDP spokesman Naeem Akhtar said, “ Mehbooba was scheduled to visit Kishtwar today but she was informed by the police that she cannot move out of her residence as she has been placed under house arrest.”
