Normalcy returns in Valley; Bandipora, Pulwama and Shopian Observes Shut-down
KN DESK; 12, Aug 2013: A complete Shut-down was observed today in North Kashmir's Bandipora and South Kashmir's Pulwama and Shopian districts while as normalcy returns in other parts of valley
In Pulwama, people alleged that police randomly raided the houses during the dead of night and arrested various youth. They demanded immedatite release of the youth. The arrested youth, according to police sources have been identified as Amir Hansan Ganaie, Amir Bashir residents of Muran Pulwama, Feroz Ahmed Kumar, Mudasir Wali residents of Bonar, Abid Bashir Sofi (Badarpora) Rayees Bashir (Dalipora) Shabir Reyaz Wani (Damhal Hanjipora) Irfan Bashir Shiekh and Adil Bashir Shiekh residents of Wanpora Pulwama.
All the schools, banks and other business establishments remained closed. Traffic was off the roads however private vehicles was plying.
Shut-down was observed in Bandipora and Shopian districts on the killings of 2 muslims in Kishtwar, one among them was burnt alive by the miscreants on 9th August.
While as life was normal Monday in the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, as educational institutions, markets, government offices and transport opened after three days of Eid festivities and a shutdown called by Syed Ali Shah Geelani against the Kishtwar violence.

if only it wouldn't be affecting that much...i would like to read a lengthened shut-down, not only in the places where untoward incidents arise but statewide - a truly bold but peaceful expression of negation
