People Throng Mosques, Shrines on Laylat Al-Qadr
SRINAGAR; 06, Aug 2013: People thronged mosques and shrines on Monday night to seek the forgiveness of Almighty Allah and the blessings of the Laylat-ul-Qadr (the night of power), as Ramadan draws to a close.
Hundreds of thousands of believers offered the “Taraweeh” or night prayers in congregation at Grand Mosques in their respective areas as did others in shrines.
A large number of people attended prayers at the Hazratbal shrine in Srinagar. A larger still crowd prayed at the historical Jamia Masjid, the main mosque of the valley.
