4 Civilians killed in South Kashmir's Shopian District

SHOPIAN 07, Sep 2013: 4 Civilians were killed today in an alleged Cold- Blood murder in South Kashmir's Shopian town.


Locals termed the incident as a pre-planned Shoot-out by CRPF Troopers in Gagren area of Srinagar.

Among the dead, One has been identified as Tauseef Ahmad Bhat (17 years) and the other as Muhammad Yousuf R/O: Durpora Zainapora Shopian while the identity of the two others is yet to be ascertained as police have taken the dead bodies and is not handing them to people.

Eye witnesses told, CRPF troopers opened unprovoked firing on the road leading towards Shopian, killing 3 and injuring 2. Among the injured one more succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile Chairman of Huriyat (G) Syed Ali Shah Geelani had called for complete shut-down tomorrow.

However Police claimed that they have killed 4 rebels who tried to attack on Police station.
