Car attacked by CRPF Troopers in Srinagar; 3 Injured

SRINAGAR; 07, Sep 2013: Panic gripped entire Lalchowk when gunshots were heard in nearby Budshah bridge. According to eye witnesses, a Wagon R Car bearing number JK01R/5054 was fired by CRPF Troopers.



Three persons including two women were injured by the unprovoked firing by CRPF Troopers. Among the injured one is critical, identified as Mohammad Iqbal Sheikh of Machuwa Chadoora and has been referred to hospital.

The witnesses told that the car is lying upside down at the spot. When contacted, police spokesman told ” we are ascertaining what happened actually.”

Meanwhile as the news about the incident spread, protests broke out in the area.
