Curfew continues for 13th Day in Shopian

SHOPIAN; 19, Sep 2013: Curfew continues for 13th day today on thursday in South Kashmir's Shopian district. Curfew was relaxed in the town yesterday.


Announcements were made early morning from armored vehicles. The barricades and concertina wires placed by police and CRPF men in and around Shopian town continued to restrict movement of vehicles and people. The cops continued to man the streets and enforced tough curfew today also and did not allow people to venture out.

However the district administration have ordered to banks to remain open.

Curfew was imposed in the town on 8th of September after 4 persons were killed by CRPF troopers.
