GMC authorities promoting immorality in society: DAK

SRINAGAR; 17, Sep 2013: Expressing shock over the Government Medical College (GMC) statement justifying sending of female medicos to a cultural show (Pulse) at New Delhi, the Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) Nisar-ul-Hassan has termed the statement is “blatant lie”.

“It is shocking to know that government medical college (GMC) Srinagar authorities are justifying sending of female medicos to a highly immoral cultural show (Pulse) at Delhi,” DAK president in a statement issued to Global News Service (GNS) said on Tuesday.

“It is a blatant lie that the “Pulse” is an academic activity. The statement is a cover up and camouflage of their wrong doings. Pulse show is all about indecent and immoral cultural events as has been displayed on their website www.pulse.org.in” Nisar added.

He said the events for 2013 which are uploaded on the site are Viva La Vida, which is about western music and western dance competition, Epostasy, which is an all-night party of boys and girls, Glam, which is an exotic and vulgar female beauty competition, Aditi Singh Sharma, a half nude model performing in an indecent way.

“The statement of GMC authorities is a testimony to the fact that they are inculcating and nurturing immorality in the society. It is disgraceful and distressing to know from GMC authorities that such activities have been happening in the past thus justifying their sending of medicos to cultural shows,” DAK President added.
