Man Arrested in Shopian on Charges of Throwing Grenade: Police
SHOPIAN; 24, Sep 2013: As per a police statement, Shopian police arrested an OGW who was also involved in a grenade throwing case and recovered ammunition from him.
Shopian Police along with 62RR and 14 Bn CRPF arrested Zakir Ahmad Malik resident of Alishapora, Zainapora and claimed that they have recovered AK ammunition from him.
As per police sources, Zakir was involved in grenade throwing on an Indian Army Party at Imamsahib on 22-09-2013. The Motor bike that was used by Zakir while hurling the grenade was also seized. A case FIR no. 60/2013 under section 3/4 ES act, 307 RPC and 7/27 IAA was registered against him in Police Station Zainapora. Investigation has been started.
