PULWAMA; 11 , Sep 2013; People’s Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti was taken into preventive custody in Pulwama district of South Kashmir.

 Party chief spokesperson Nayeem Akhtar said Ms Mufti was on way to Shopian to express solidarity with the families of those killed in Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) firing on September 7 at Gagran village.

However, police stopped her at Pulwama and detained her, Mr Akhtar said.
