PDP to Corner Govt on Shopian Killings, Army General’s Remarks

SRINAGAR; 27, Sep 2013: The upcoming assembly session to be held in Srinagar from April 30 is set to begin on a stormy note with PDP planning to corner the government on Shopian killings and General VK Singh's revelations. Interestingly, BJP is also ready to give tough time to the government over the issues of AFSPA revocation and fresh attack in Jammu region.

“There are many issues which need to be discussed in the coming session of the assembly with Shopian killings and General V.K Singh’s remarks being one of them, Chief Spokesperson of main opposition People's Democratic Party (PDP) Nayeem Akhtar told a local news gathering agency. He said that to devise a strategy the legislature party of PDP would meet on 29 September. Reliable sources told that Peoples Democratic Party wants to raise the various issues in a proper and planed manner so that the government is exposed for its misdeeds. “There are number of issues including Shopian Killings, Gool Killings, General Singh’s remarks, corruption which PDP will raise enthusiastically,” MLA of PDP wished not to be named told.(KNS)
