Shabir Shah visits Palhallan; Expresses Solidarity with Bereaved Families

BARAMULLA: 26, Sep 2013: Chairman Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah along with a delegation from other pro-freedom parties led by him visited Palhallan to pay tributes to those martyred during recent past.

Shah was accompanied by Jammu Kashmir Muslim Conference Chairman Shabir Ahmad Dar, Jammu Kashmir Islamic Political Party Chairman Muhammad Yusuf Naqash, Muhammad Yasin Ataai and other Freedom Party activists.

The delegation expressed solidarity with the families of Molvi Hilal, Shabir Ahmad, Muhammad Yaqoob and Bilal Ahmad. “I appreciate the people of Palhallan for their courage and pro-freedom spirit; it is our very mission not to bow before tyrant rulers and fight for the right to self-determination,” Shah in a statement issued to GNS said.

Shabir Shah said the role played by the people of Sopore and Baramulla with regards to freedom movement is an example of itself. “The tyranny inflicted upon people of Palhallan by Indian forces is a “shameful and cruel act”, they are subjected to severe atrocities due to their deep bonding with the freedom struggle,” he said.

The delegation also visited the family of renowned resistance leader Ghazi Abdul Rashid in Baramulla. While paying tributes and highlighting Ghazi’s contribution to freedom movement, Shah said, “Shaheed Ghazi will be remembered forever by pro-freedom people.”

Shah said Kashmiri nation never hesitated from sacrificing themselves for the freedom movement. “It is now the responsibility of resistance leaders to take the mission of martyrs to its ultimate destination,” Shah in a statement added.  (GNS)
