No Vehicle Will be Allowed to Move Tomorrow on National Highway Except Stranded : Traffic Dept

As intimated by authorities, Strictly subject to fair weather condition and good condition of road, the vehicles (Srinagar bound) stranded between Ramsoo and Banihal sectors, due to bad weather/snow fall, shall be cleared first and allowed to proceed towards valley in a regulated manner upto 1200 hours only.

Similarly, the vehicles (Jammu bound) stranded between Qazigund and Levdora shall be cleared and allowed to proceed towards Jammu after 1300 hours only. However, no movement of vehicles (Jammu bound) shall be allowed from Levdora before 1300 hours. These vehicles (Jammu bound) shall cross Jawahar tunnel upto 1600 hours only beyond which no vehicle, whatsoever, shall be allowed to proceed towards Jawahar Tunnel for onward journey.

However, No fresh movement of vehicles, whatsoever, either from Jammu or valley shall be allowed on National Highway on 11/01/2014.

In case of bad weather, the decision regarding movement of the traffic or otherwise of these vehicles on National highway shall be taken by the concerned SSP traffic, on the spot, as per the situation. However, to ensure safety/security of drivers/ passengers, no vehicle especially PSVs shall be stranded/parked in avalanche/ slide prone zones/ areas of highway.
