SRINAGAR: Police Tuesday claimed that it arrested the armed fighters involved in the killing of Station House Officer Chadoora Shabir Ahmed who was killed by militants on Dec 2 last year.

Addressing a press conference in Central Kashmir’s Budgam town, Superintendent of Police Irshad Ahmed said “Efforts were made to arrest the killers and with the help of 35 RR personnel we managed to arrest three armed fighters namely, Ashiq Hussain Bhat son of Ghulam Rasool Bhat, Reyaz Ahmed Dar son of Ghulam Rasool both from Panzan Budgam and Basharat Mir son of late Ab Khaliq resident of Manipapey and one insurgent namely Omar aka Zahid was killed in an encounter at Hashoora Chadoora with police and 53 RR.”
