JAMMU: A kidnapped minor girl from mountainous Doda district was rescued from Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir,police today said.

Based on a tip off, the police conducted raids at different hideouts yesterday, they said. The accused identified as Sushil Kumar, a resident of Bhandekhar, Doda district, was arrested from Telli Basti of Bari Brahmana area of Samba and the minor victim was rescued from his clutches, police said.

“The accused was evading arrest for the past four months,” added the police. A case under section 363 of RPC was already registered against him.
