SRINAGAR; Forces burst teargas shells and resorted to lathicharge to disperse demonstrators, who were protesting against the arrest of youth in north Kashmir district of Bandipora, where some parts observed a complete shut down today.

People took to the streets at Saderkote Bala and other areas on Srinagar-Bandipora road, protesting against the arrest of some youths.

The demonstrators, who were raising slogans against the police and state government alleged that police arrested youths, who allegedly took part in the demonstrations against the killing of Farhat Ahmad Dar and injuries to three others in police firing at Naidkhai on Friday evening.
