Cop Injured as Armed Fighters Attack Patrol Party at Kakapora
PULWAMA; A constable of Jammu and Kashmir police was injured when armed freedom fighters fired upon a patrol party in south Kashmir district of Pulwama.
As per the official statement, Insurgents opened fire towards a police party at Kakapora in Pulwama district causing injuries to a constable Javid Iqbal of 18th Bn of Indian Reserve Police (IRP).
The injured was admitted to hospital, they said a massive hunt has been launched to nab the attackers.
The armed fighters group Hizbul Mujahideen has claimed the responsibility of the attack.
