SRINAGAR; Jama’at-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir condemns the harassment of Kashmiri students in Indian states in the aftermath of Indian cricket team’s defeat at the hands of Pakistan in recently played Asia cup ODI.

In a statement, "Jama’at demands end to such vengeful and illogical practices against Kashmiri people, be that students or traders, and reaffirms that peaceful expression of sentiment, aspiration and ideology is fundamental human right of every human being."

"It is a shame for the country which claims to be the largest democracy of the world to resort to such mean tactics and intolerant behavior." the statement added.
