Kashmir May Receive Snow, Rain for Next Four Days
SRINAGAR; The weatherman in Jammu and Kashmir has predicted heavy rain and snowfall for four days beginning Saturday.
“A fresh Western Disturbance over J&K and adjoining areas is likely to affect the state from 15th March (Saturday) to 18th March 2014 (Tuesday),” the MeT said in a release this afternoon.
“Under the influence of this weather system, moderate to rather heavy rain/snow would occur at many places on 15 and 16 March and at most places on 17 and 18 March.
Snowfall is also likely at a few places in Ladakh region particularly in Zojila, Drass and Kargil.
During the four-day period, heavy to very heavy rain/snowfall would occur at isolated places over the state. Thunder squall accompanied by hailstorm is also likely at isolated places in the state.
