Pulwama Court Attack: Police Arrested Siblings

PULWAMA; Police on Tuesday arrested two brothers following a militant attack that left two policemen dead in South Kashmir's Pulwama District.

Locals alleged Aftab Ahmad and his brother Majid Ahmad who are shopkeepers were picked up by Special Operations Group (SoG) of Police from the same place where the attack was carried.

Official sources said "The duo was picked in connection with yesterday's militant attack" adding "their role is being ascertained as their shop is located near the place of attack."

A senior police official who is the part of investigation said, sixteen persons were called up for questioning, all of them have been released."

The duo, however, is still in the custody, sources said. Soon after the police rounded-up shopkeepers in the southern town, many downed their shutters and held protests.
