BANDIPORA; Residents in north Kashmir’s Hajin town today took to streets against Power Development Department (PDD), protesting lack of electricity in the neighbourhood.

The traffic on Hajin-Srinagar road was halted by dozens of people, demanding restoration of power supply.

“Our transformer has been defunct since January and we are without the supply for three months now,” the protesters from Wahab Parray Mohalla said.

“We submitted many applications in the department, but nobody is listening to out woes.”
