SRINAGAR; Dead body of an elderly unidentified man was recovered today from Sonar Koul Srinagar.

According to a police statement, "Srinagar Police recovered an unidentified semi decomposed male body from Sonar Kohl here this afternoon.

Some locals informed Police station Mahraj Gunj that a body is floating in Sonar Kohl near Zaldagar. A police party reached the spot and retrieved the body."

As per the reports, The body is in semi decomposed state having traces of beard on the face. The deceased is wearing jeans and blue sweater. The body has been kept in the mortuary of SMHS Srinagar for identification.

Police has initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC to ascertain the cause of death.
SRINAGAR; A Kashmiri medico working in Libya was killed by unidentified gunmen on Sunday.

The doctor identified as Dr Irfan Ali, 23, a resident of Shalimar in the outskirts of Kashmir, was working in the country since August 2013. He was part of a group of eight medicos appointed by a hospital in the Derna area of the country. Ali was a physiotherapist.

According to the family, Ali was kidnapped by unidentified gunmen on Sunday and his body was recovered a day later.

A spokesman of Ministry of External Affairs told that Indian Mission in Libya is in constant touch with local authorities to investigate the matter.

Derna, an eastern town of Libya, has been witnessing disturbances after the downfall of Muammar Gaddafi government by the National Transitional Council (NTC) backed by NATO.

The MEA said Irfan was killed by some “miscreants but the actual position will be conveyed soon.”

The Indian Ambassador to Libya, Anil Tringunayat, was quoted by Libya Herald as saying that he was alarmed by the killing of the young man who, he said, was representative of the 1,600 doctors that had come to Libya to help its people during and after the revolution.

BUDGAM; A complete shutdown was observed in Chadoora town of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district against the cold-blooded murder of youth whose body was recovered by police from an open paddy field in Chadoora. Meanwhile, police has apprehended a youth in connection with the murder and police said that investigation is going on fast track.
 


Police recovered the body of Mudasir Ahmad Rather son of Fateh Muhammad resident of Hard-u-Divan, Cherari-Sharief with multiple marks of violence on Monday.
 
Station House Officer Chadoora, Arshid Ahmed told that a person identified as Muhammad Yaseen Itoo son of Abdul Jabar has been arrested in connection with this murder case and more arrests are expected. He said that police is investigating the case and it is not yet clear what the motive behind the murder of this youth was.
 
Police has registered a case vide FIR number 34/2014 under section 302 in this regard.
 
Meanwhile a complete shutdown was observed in Chadoora town against this murder and people demanded immediate arrests of the killers. All the shops and business establishments remained close while traffic was off the roads.
GHAZIABAD; A class 11 student, who hails from Ladakh in Kashmir died under mysterious circumstances after he fell from the second floor of the Central school hostel in Ghaziabad.

The police said that the incident took place at 12.30 am while the cops were informed about the incident at 9 am in the morning.

The deceased identified as Mohd Shafi was rushed to Sarvodya hospital by the hostel staff, where during course of treatment he died at 5.30 am. The deceased's sister studies in Delhi University while his parents live in Kashmir.

Ghaziabad senior superintendent of police Dharmender singh said that exact cause behind the Kashmiri student death is yet to be ascertained.

"We have sent the deceased's body for post mortem examination. Exact reason of death would be established once we get the report," singh said.

When asked about the line of investigation, Singh said, "No suicide not has been recovered. We are probing the case from all angles. We are interrogating, the deceased's room mates, hostel staff and friends," Singh added.
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad( Anantnag) police recovered an unidentified male body of age about 35 years at Donipora National Highway, Islamabad, in the jurisdiction of police station Bijbehara.

Police has started an inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC in this regard to ascertain the cause of the death. The body is lying in Sub-District Hospital, Bijbehara for identification.
SRINAGAR; In an statement issued by Police, "Police post Bemina recovered an unidentified male body at Hamdanya Colony sector-D near bridge this morning. The deceased is wearing gray pent and gray sweater. The body of deceased is in Police post Bemina for identification"

The statement further seeking help from the people reads, "Any body having any kind of information regarding him may contact DO Bemina on mobile numbers 9419004195, 9697813130 or police Control Room Kashmir on 100. " 
KULGAM; Kulgam Police recovered a body at a road side in suspicious circumstances at Shah Mohalla, in the jurisdiction of Police station Qazigund. The deceased was later identified as Noor-u-Din son of Ghulam Qadir resident of Nagrus, Qazigund.

Qazigund Police has started an inquest proceeding under section 174 CrPC in this regard to ascertain the cause of the death. The body of deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites after completion of all medico-legal formalities.
