Court rejected bail application of Credit Card Hacker

SRINAGAR, Dec 30:  A local court has rejected bail application of an accused who allegedly misused Credit Card pin codes of other persons for monetary benefits.
“It is premature to release the accused on bail as his custody is likely to reveal more information which may help simultaneous investigation into other complaints,” says the order.
Chief Judicial Magistrate Srinagar, Rajeev Gupta, rejected the bail application of the accused after hearing arguments from the Chief prosecuting officer, Afaq Ahmad with advocate, counsel for the complainant, Bashir Sidiq and counsel for the accused, Shakeel  Zahgeer.
“It transpires that during course of investigation, offence under sections 420 (cheating), 467(forgery for the purpose of cheating), 5069 (Criminal Intimidation) of RPC and under various sections of IT Act have been committed by the accused,” the court said.
A maximum punishment of five and ten years under RPC and IT Act is awarded to the accused if convicted under the said acts.
