SRINAGAR, Dec 30: Police Friday claimed to have arrested a wanted woman drug peddler, from Hawal Chowk in Srinagar and recovered 400 grams of brown sugar worth around Rs five lakh from her possession.

 Officials said Hameeda, 42, a City dweller was nabbed by police after laying a trap.
 “Hameeda had been evading the arrest for quite sometime and we were searching for her like anything by conducting raids wherever we got inputs for her presence,” police said.
 It said the woman had been actively involved in drug trade for many years and had earned notoriety in her native area.
